High Threat. Prehospital rescue in “high risk” situations

A 268-page manual with 170 full-color figures and 40 tables for health care providers, military and civilian

High-risk situations are realities that humans have had to deal with since time immemorial, but unfortunately they have become more and more frequent in our days: just think of the global war on terrorism and the numerous mass attacks against civilians.

Faced with such tragic scenarios, the rapid and timely intervention of health workers trained to operate in complex contexts is essential, and coordinated action with military forces is a must.

The first Italian edition of the handbook High Threat. Prehospital Rescue in “High Risk” Situations published by Edizioni Idelson Gnocchi, a historic publishing house specializing in medical-scientific publishing, and edited by the instructors of the Italian Emergency Training Association, is therefore aimed at both healthcare workers and military and civilian operators.

The text deliberately uses simple and clear language for the clinical treatment of the many topics, and this allows the contents to be easily assimilated; at the same time, the authors, being very clear about the practical purpose of the work, place the treatment within the operational scenario, thus preparing readers to respond promptly, accurately and in an increasingly professional manner to the many challenges posed by maxi-emergencies.

Those who would like to take a look at the volume can visit us at REAS at the Montichiari (BS) Exhibition Center from October 4-6, 2024: our booth is in Hall 8 booth A18.
