Airbus, excellent results from Verticon 2025
Airbus concludes VERTICON 2025 with commitments for 118 helicopters
Airbus Helicopters closes the 2025 edition of VERTICON with 118 commitments, including 63 firm orders, from customers around the world for a wide range of multimission helicopters.
Among the major achievements, more than 74 commitments involve the H140, the new twin-engine light multimission helicopter previewed at the show. The first operational use of the H140 will be in emergency medical services. Major HEMS operators in the United States and Europe-including Global Medical Response, ADAC Luftrettung, ÖAMTC Flugrettung, Air Methods, Stat MedEvac, Metro Aviation, and DRF Luftrettung-have signed orders and letters of intent for this helicopter.
“The H140 was designed by customers for customers. The selection of the H140 by some of the world’s leading EMS operators shows that we have hit the mark,” said Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters. “I would like to thank our customers for their trust in Airbus. The essential missions they perform with our helicopters are a source of great pride for all of us. VERTICON proved to be a key time of the year to connect with our customers and celebrate their work,” he added.
The H160 began commercial offshore operations with operator PHI Aviation on behalf of Shell after an innovative route validation program. Brazilian operator Omni signed a multi-service HCare contract ahead of ‘the start of operations for Petrobras. The New York State Police will become the first public safety agency in the United States to operate the H160 after announcing an order for one H160 and three H145 helicopters.
On the support and services front, Westair Helicopters signed an HCare contract to support the entry into service of its H225 fleet intended for offshore energy missions in Namibia. GDAT, one of the leading helicopter operators in China, signed an HCare In-Service contract with Airbus to cover ten H225 helicopters deployed on various missions, including emergency services and forest protection in the country.
During VERTICON, Airbus Helicopters also conducted demonstration flights with an H175, an H160, an H145 and an H125 IFR using 30 percent sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to use SAF whenever possible.
