Allison Transmission presents new all-electric axle for fire and rescue vehicles at Interschutz
Allison Transmission and Emergency One: exhibiting at Interschutz the first firefighting vehicle with the new eGen Power® electric axle and the new TerraTran automatic transmission for firefighting and airport rescue vehicles
Just a few days to the start of Interschutz 2022, the world’s leading trade fair for fire, safety, security and rescue services, where Allison Transmission will be exhibiting its new state-of-the-art products.
Allison Transmission, a leading designer and manufacturer of conventional and electrified propulsion solutions for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, is presenting its new electric axle, Allison eGen Power®, designed for fire and rescue vehicles, at Interschutz 2022.
Interschutz will take place in Hanover, June 20-25, and Allison Transmission’s pavilion will be number 27, at Stand H 38
Emergency One, the British manufacturer of fire and rescue vehicles, has integrated the eGen Power 100D into the new E1 EV0™ on a MAN TGM chassis and is presenting the vehicle for the first time at Interschutz (outside area, stand R54) in collaboration with Allison.
eGen Power® is an integrated solution that is compatible with the existing vehicle chassis and features two fully integrated electric motors, a two-speed gearbox, pumps and oil cooler.
The twin-engine 100D version has a continuous output of 454 kilowatts and a peak output of 652 kilowatts.
The eGen Power 100D axle is one of the most powerful electric axle systems on the market, designed for good starting and climbing capabilities, high speed and high efficiency.
This allows fire and rescue vehicles to offer unsurpassed performance and reliability, high acceleration and excellent manoeuvrability.
In addition to this, Allison also offers the eGen Power 130D, a variant of the 100D designed specifically for the European and Asian markets, where many commercial vehicles require a higher gross axle weight of 13 tonnes.
The TerraTran™ transmission is a variant of the proven Allison 4000™ Series transmission for on-road use and is built specifically for the extreme demands of airport fire trucks.
TerraTran™ offers a maximum output of 800 horsepower and a torque capacity of up to 3200 nm.
The transmission also features seven forward and two reverse gears.
TerraTran offers the proven reliability and durability of the Allison 4000 transmissions, with increased horsepower, torque and gross vehicle weight, while also adding fast reverse capability.
Visitors to the Allison stand at Interschutz 2022 are invited to discover the eGen Power axle
