ORION Special Vehicles Test Park: the opinions of those who participated (part two)
Second “episode” of the Special Vehicles Test Park organised by ORION: here are the opinions of the rescue drivers who took part in the event on 25 and 26 June
Special Vehicles Test Park, the event held on 25 and 26 June at the Grosseto Exhibition Centre, put ORION rescue vehicles under the microscope

The event’s creators were Formula Guida Sicura, a very important reality in the world of rescue driver training, and our newspaper.
We have already told you about one part of it, now let’s move on to the second.
Of the rescue drivers who took part in the event, putting ORION vehicles to the test, there were many positive comments
A marvellous initiative to let the rescuers who work on them every day try out and ultimately evaluate the vehicles, excellent organisation, professional instructors, and a great test for the fitters as well: these were the comments that were the most popular.
“I am very happy with the experience,” writes Danilo, “a novelty for me, which has allowed me to drive ambulances in a way that on the road for one reason or another I cannot (safety, keeping the patient as comfortable as possible).
The organisation was beautiful and perfect, and the trials were excellent, especially the wet ones.
If I were to be contacted again tomorrow for another experience like this, I would give my availability immediately and look forward to experiencing the same day again. Really congratulations to everyone.”
Maximilian was very pleased to have participated in the Special Vehicles Test Park.
The driver told us that “the day on Saturday developed very well with a very detailed briefing on what we had to test and how the tests would take place, the fact that we had two new vehicles and interfaced directly with the fitter was very beneficial for both parties.
The safe driving formula instructors were very nice and professional.
At the end of the day, there was a debriefing where we as drivers were able to have our say on the set-up of the driver’s compartment, trying to give the fitter a more complete overview of our needs and our work.
Personally, I really enjoyed the event because it is the first time that a fitter has put so much effort and commitment into organising such a comprehensive event.”
For Michele too, it turned out to be “a wonderful experience with great personal involvement with an empathetic and professional staff who guided us in putting to the test in particular situations two vehicles that were almost poles apart in terms of technical characteristics, both very well set up.
Definitely an excellent opportunity to ‘touch with hand’ in a dynamic way what can normally only be assessed in a static way, far from the service requirements.”
An event, therefore, that was a great success and will certainly be repeated.
