Bad weather in Emilia-Romagna: interventions by the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps to help the population
Bad weather in Romagna: uninterrupted interventions by Cnsas Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps technicians in Emilia-Romagna that, since Tuesday night, have been taking place in the areas worst hit by the bad weather
Bad weather, Cnsas interventions: the areas affected include both the mountainous areas of the Apennines and lowland areas where the inconveniences and damage are considerable
The mountain areas most affected are those in the Faenza area (Modigliana, Predappio, Casola Valsenio), the Forlì area (Rocca San Casciano and Santa Sofia) and the Cesanate area (San Pietro In Bagno).
Numerous interventions are underway for: rescue, evacuation, made extremely complex by the continuous rain and landslides, especially in the mountainous area, where roads are interrupted due to collapses and landslides that also prevent the passage of rescue vehicles.
In the early hours of the morning, some twenty Alpine and Speleological Rescue technicians tried to reach some isolated houses on foot, located in the localities of the Apennines, to assess the situation, but already reaching them was not easy due to the lack of road connections interrupted by the numerous landslides on the roads.
Bad weather in Italy, even in the flooded areas on the plain, Cnsas technicians are operating on several fronts
Since last night, in Forlì, Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico Emilia-Romagna has been in the field with 6 technicians of the Soccorso in Forra, who evacuated numerous people in difficulty.
In Cesena, since last night, several Alpine and Speleological Rescue forces have been operating: a team from Emilia-Romagna has been on the ground with 4 technicians specialised in the water environment (among whom there was also a health worker); since this morning, a team of 5 technicians (also specialised in the water environment) have also been on the scene at Cesena hospital.
Also present in the city are: a team of 10 Gorge Rescue technicians from the Marche region and another team of 8 technicians from Umbria (also specialised in the water environment). In Castel Bolognese (province of Ravenna), a team of 5 technicians specialised in ravines from the Veneto region was present.
The teams present are coordinating with the Civil Protection Department, the Regional Civil Protection, 118 and the Fire Brigade.
At the moment, due to adverse weather conditions, no medical helicopters are flying, while those of the Air Force, Fire Brigade, Army, Guardia di Finanza and other Civil Protection bodies are being activated.
