CRI: Excellence in Training with ISO 9001 Certificate from CSQA
ISO 9001 Certification to the Italian Red Cross: Recognition of Excellence in Volunteer Training and Commitment to Safety and Organizational Development
Training is a fundamental pillar for any organization that aims to operate effectively and responsibly, especially when it comes to volunteerism and field assistance. In this context, the Italian Red Cross (ICRC) has reached a significant milestone, receiving the prestigious ISO 9001 Certificate for the field of application “Design and Delivery of Level IV Training,” issued by CSQA, one of the most internationally recognized certification bodies.
The award was presented during an official ceremony held at the headquarters of the CRI National Committee in Rome on Oct. 27, 2023. The certification covers two specific areas of focus: “Health and Safety” and “Organizational Development,” with aspirations to extend it to other sectors soon.
Rosario Valastro, President of the Italian Red Cross, emphasized the importance of this milestone, not only as a point of arrival, but also as a starting point for further improvements and maintaining high training standards. “Preparation plays a fundamental role in the activities that our volunteers carry out on the ground. This recognition is a sign of maturity and an important incentive for greater commitment and continuous improvement,” Valastro said.
Cecilia Crescioli, Secretary General of the Italian Red Cross, then highlighted how training has always been a strength of the Association, receiving recognition and appreciation even from institutions and other associations. “Our goal now is to extend certification to other training courses, continuing to invest in quality and expertise,” Crescioli added.
Massimo Dutto, CSQA Life Sciences Division Manager, highlighted the uniqueness of the Italian Red Cross on the national scene, emphasizing the organization’s responsibility to ensure appropriate training for its volunteers, who dedicate their time and energy to assist those in need.
ISO 9001 certification is an important recognition of the quality and commitment made by the Italian Red Cross in the training of its volunteers. It ensures that training processes conform to international standards, thus ensuring that volunteers are adequately prepared to meet the challenges of their commitment in the field. This achievement not only strengthens the credibility and authority of the Association, but also helps to consolidate the trust of citizens and institutions in the Italian Red Cross and its volunteers.
A significant step forward for the Italian Red Cross, which confirms the excellence of its training and strengthens its commitment to local communities and society as a whole. The Association thus confirms itself as a point of reference in the national volunteer scene, with an eye always on innovation and continuous improvement.
