Emergency in Ukraine, Aosta Local Health Authority donates two ambulances and a medical car to the Red Cross for use in Lviv

The war in Ukraine has led to a great need for ambulances and emergency vehicles, and Italy’s solidarity has not been slow in coming

The Aosta Local Health Unit has donated two ambulances and a medical car to the Italian Red Cross in support of the emergency in Ukraine

The vehicles are being discontinued due to mileage limits, but are in perfect working order and in excellent condition.

“This initiative is intended to provide concrete help and support to the victims of the war,” explains the head of the 118 emergency services, Dr. Luca Cavoretto.

At a time of great difficulty,” he added, speaking to reporters, “and of health needs, the availability of emergency vehicles is a priority.

This is why the Azienda Usl, which has already donated drugs and various materials, wanted to make another important contribution through the 118 service.

Ukraine emergency, the two ambulances and the ambulance car will go to Lviv

The two ambulances (VW T5 and VW T5) and the ambulance (Skoda Octavia) will be handed over to the Aosta Valley Regional Committee of the Italian Red Cross on Friday 22 April.

The vehicles will be entrusted to the Red Cross/Red Crescent camp in Lviv, Poland, and from there, by authorised personnel, they will be handed over to the emergency services in the city of Kiev, Ukraine.
