Italy exceeds 150,000 deaths Covid: today’s 325 deaths bring the total number of victims to 150,221 since the start of the emergency. Hospitalizations still falling
75,861 new positive cases of Covid-19 (yesterday 81,367) and 325 deaths (yesterday 384) have been recorded in Italy in the last 24 hours
This is what emerges from today’s bulletin from the Ministry of Health.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 11,923,631 people have been infected with the Sars-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of victims since February 2020 is 150,221, thus exceeding the threshold of 150,000 people who have lost their lives since the beginning of the emergency.
A total of 9,960,136 people have been cured or discharged and 137,221 have become negative in the last 24 hours (yesterday 134,460).
A total of 1,813,274 people are currently positive, down 61,351 from yesterday (down 53,175 the day before).
Including molecular and antigenic swabs, the total number of swabs processed was 683,715, 47,569 less than yesterday’s 731,284.
The positivity rate is stable at 11.1%.
On the health system front, there is a decrease in hospital stays in every area.
There are in fact -578 (yesterday -405), for a total of 17,354 inpatients, the beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards.
There are -28 (yesterday -26) beds occupied in intensive care: the total of the most serious patients is now equal to 1,322, with 83 admissions to intensive care (yesterday 90).
