PETALING JAYA – As attempts to convince a 35-year old woman not to jump off the 12th floor of Desa Mentari flat here, firemen quietly rappelled to the lower floor and pushed her back to the balcony. The woman was immediately whisked away to safety and later brought to the hospital for check-ups. The incident that drew a big crowd beneath happened at 7.30am. A resident had called firemen and seven firefighters from Jalan Penchala station were despatched to the scene, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul said. The case was later handed to the police.
