Skewered by a steel bar: Australian construction worker survives
What an incredible accident: Kieran Dodge, 19 years old, was working on an excavator in a Sydney construction site when he ended up with a metal bar embedded in his head. The bar had entered the driver’s cab and struck the worker’s forehead, where it penetrated to a depth of a few millimetres and pinned the young man into the driver’s seat. His workmates immediately called the emergency services, whose team of paramedics managed to free the injured man after a long and delicate operation. Under sedation Kieran was then transported to hospital, where he is said to be in a stable condition.
