Ukraine emergency, Odessa representatives of the National Council for Health and Safety bought an ambulance for Nikolaev

The money was collected in Verona: on 20 May the ambulance was delivered to Bashtan Support Hospital, Ukraine

The head of the National Health and Safety Council Mykita Karpenko told public correspondents.

“The regional military administration in Nikolaev approached us.

After we found the ambulance and were transferred to Nikolaev.

The ambulance is equipped with all the necessary equipment to transport patients,’ – said Nikita Karpenko.

“Before, we did not have ambulances.

There were two GAZelles, they are very old. S fter only a week ago we received a car from Poland and Great Britain.

But considering that our hospital supports 144,000 people, we really need this new ambulance,” said Bashtan Multidisciplinary Hospital Director Alla Barseghyan.

Volunteers were the real protagonists in the purchase and transport of the ambulance.

“It costs about EUR 30,000.

For the purchase, registration of documents, delivery to Ukraine, again, formalities in Ukraine – it took about two weeks,” said volunteer Igor Studennikov.

After the bombardment by Russian troops on 19 April 2022, the multidisciplinary hospital in Bashtan resumed normal operation.
