Ukraine: France has transferred more than 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Kiev
France has transferred humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which included firefighting and rescue vehicles, ambulances, medical equipment, and boat decks
This was announced by the deputy head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
More than 1,000 tons of aid from France are already in the Romanian city of Suceava and the transfer of goods to Ukraine is underway
“We have received fire department vehicles, fast ones that allow us to carry out field inspections, medical equipment, equipment for rescuers, foodstuffs,” Tymoshenko said.
In addition, Ukraine received boat bridges over 200 meters long .
“This will allow us to restore civilian infrastructure, ensure communications and transportation, especially in unemployed territories,” Tymoshenko stressed.
Not just France: US aid to Ukraine
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided Ukraine with $9.89 billion in aid since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
The vast majority of this amount is $8.5 billion. is direct financial support from the Ukrainian government to provide medical care and education, support displaced people, ensure electricity supply to schools, hospitals, homes, etc.
About one billion more – humanitarian aid – food, medical care, water, hygiene products.
The rest of the amount was allocated to support small businesses and agriculture.
