War in Ukraine: Red Cross rescuers in Kharkiv, Kharkivska, Uzhhorod and Chernihiv
There are many emergencies in Ukraine in which the volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross are working, both to help the victims of the bombings and to distribute humanitarian aid
WAR IN UKRAINE: MORE THAN 100,000 PEOPLE IN KHARKIV AND KHARKIVSKA OBLAST HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED HELP FROM UKRAINIAN RED CROSS
From the first days of the war, Kharkiv regional organization of Ukrainian Red Cross has been working hard without weekends and breaks to help as many people as possible.
More than 120 volunteers and employees of the organization every day deliver humanitarian aid to hospitals, to places where people are hiding from constant shelling (bomb shelters, metro, shelters) and to those who need help.
The organization delivers medicines, blankets, heaters, hygiene items, clothing, toys, diapers, water and food. Volunteers also continue to teach the people first aid skills.
UKRAINE: IN UZHHOROD, ON THE SQUARE IN FRONT OF UKRAINIAN RED CROSS OFFICE, VOLUNTEERS ORGANIZED A HUMANITARIAN AID DISTRIBUTION POINT
People who were forced to leave their homes because of the war took with them only the most valuable things and the clothes in which they were evacuated. So now they need seasonal clothes and other necessities.
Internally displaced persons can receive children’s and adult clothes, shoes, toys, food and hygiene kits. Volunteers are also collecting inquiries about other needs of people in order to provide the help that they need in the near future.
IN CHERNIHIV, VOLUNTEERS FROM THE EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM OF UKRAINIAN RED CROSS TRANSPORTED 16 SERIOUSLY ILL PATIENTS TO MEDICAL FACILITIES
The patients were in critical condition and needed immediate medical attention.
