Techniques for patient immobilisation and applying a cervical collar
A brief video to see the sequence of operations to follow in the immobilisation of a patient prior to the application of a cervical collar.
Two first-responders, one to place the head in the correct position, the other to apply the cervical collar.
The cervical collar limits the movements of a patient suspected of having suffered spinal trauma without complete immobilisation. Used in combination with the spinal board, the KED or a vacuum mattress.
