Luis Vielma planned to become an EMT - The story of the 22-year-old shooting victim of Orlando
Orlando, Fla. – Luis Vielma was 22 years old when he has been shooted at Pulse on 12th June 2016
He was an attraction operator at Univeral Orlando and he was always available and kind with frined and collegues. Josh Boesch, who worked with him affirms that Luis was “always a friend you could call” and he reported Vielma held several roles at Universal Studios, including running the former Disaster! attraction.
Most recently, he worked also to the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride. J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, posted a message on Twitter about Vielma early Monday, mourning his death.
The president and chief operating officer of Universal Orlando, Bill Davis said in a statement via social media, that:
“We are deeply saddened over the loss of our Team Member. We are working to support his friends and colleagues here at Universal Orlando. Our thoughts and prayers are with Luis, his family, and all the victims of this tragedy.”
Vielma was also known as a guy who wanted always to know more. This was a reason why he planned to become an EMT. He was an Emergency Medical Services student at Seminole State College, according to a statement from the school released Monday. He was taking a CPR class this summer and enrolled in classes for the fall semester.
